South Park Season 29 premieres on Comedy Central in the U.S. on September 16, 2026 and begins streaming on Paramount+ Canada on September 17.

Canadian viewers do not need a VPN for the main stream. Paramount+ Canada already carries Seasons 1–28, while Pluto TV Canada also offers selected episodes free with ads.

If you want to watch new Season 29 episodes live on Comedy Central one day earlier, you’ll need a U.S. VPN connection plus access to a supported U.S. live-TV service.

Why is South Park Season 29 Called “South America”?

Ahead of Season 29, South Park used the name “South America” as part of a promotional joke tied to the new season.

The series itself is still listed as South Park on Paramount+ and other official platforms, so Canadian viewers should continue searching for South Park when looking for Season 29.

This is mainly a marketing gag rather than a permanent change to the show’s official streaming title.

Do You Need a VPN to Watch South Park in Canada?

No, not for the main Canadian stream. Paramount+ Canada carries South Park, including Season 29 from September 17, so most viewers can watch without changing regions.

A VPN is only useful if you want to watch the Comedy Central U.S. broadcast live one day earlier. In that case, you still need access to a supported U.S. TV or live-streaming service in addition to the VPN.

How to Watch South Park Live on Comedy Central in Canada

If you want to see new South Park episodes the same day they air in the U.S., you’ll need to access Comedy Central — which isn’t available directly in Canada. The easiest solution is to use a streaming TV service that carries Comedy Central (like Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, or DirecTV Stream) along with a VPN.

Here’s how to set it up:

• Subscribe to a reliable VPN service (ExpressVPN work best for streaming).
• Download the VPN app on your device and connect to a U.S. server.
• Turn off your device’s location services to avoid detection.
• Sign up for a streaming TV service like Sling TV (most affordable), YouTube TV, or Hulu + Live TV.
• Log in, head to Comedy Central, and watch South Park live in Canada.

How Many South Park Seasons Are on Paramount+ Canada?
