Who We Are
We are a team of digital nomads based out of Edmonton, Canada.
Between us, we have spent the last 12 years working in the digital industry, building websites, managing content, researching technology, and navigating the ever changing landscape of online streaming. We are not a faceless corporation or a content farm. We are a small, passionate team of people who genuinely love television, film, live sports, and everything in between.
We are also, without apology, complete streaming freaks.
If there is a must-watch series, a blockbuster film, a live awards ceremony, or a sporting event happening anywhere in the world, we want to watch it. That obsession is what built Screenbinge.ca and it is what drives every article we publish.
The Problem We Kept Running Into
When we started working remotely and travelling the world, we ran into the same frustrating wall over and over again.
Content licensing.
A show we had been following for months would suddenly become unavailable in the country we were visiting. A live sporting event we had planned our evening around was geo-blocked outside Canada. A streaming service we had paid for back home would lock us out the moment we crossed a border.
And when we were back home in Canada, the problem was just as bad, often worse. Some of the most talked-about shows, films, and live events simply do not exist on any Canadian streaming platform. Not on Crave. Not on CBC Gem. Not anywhere. Content that the rest of the world watches freely and cheaply is either unavailable in Canada entirely or buried behind expensive PPV fees and subscription paywalls that no one should have to accept in 2026.
That made us angry. So we got to work.
What We Did About It
We started researching. Obsessively.
We tested VPNs, dug through broadcaster licensing agreements, found free streaming platforms that most Canadians have never heard of, and figured out how to access the content we wanted legally, affordably, and without the geographic restrictions that broadcasters and rights holders use to wall off the internet.
Over time, we built up an enormous amount of knowledge about how to watch almost anything from Canada, or from anywhere in the world while travelling. We knew which VPNs actually worked with which platforms. We knew which streaming services offered better value than their Canadian equivalents. We knew how to find free, legitimate streams for events that cost a small fortune to watch through official Canadian channels.
At a certain point, we realized we were sitting on something genuinely useful.

We built Screenbinge.ca for one reason: to share what we know.
Not just for ourselves, though we absolutely use our own guides but for every Canadian who has ever hit a geo-block, stared at a “not available in your region” error message, or quietly accepted an overpriced streaming service because they did not know there was another way.
And for every traveler passing through Canada who just wants to keep watching the shows and sports they watch at home, without interruption.
Every guide on this site is written from real experience. We do not recommend services we have not tested. We do not publish workarounds we have not verified ourselves. When we tell you that a particular VPN unlocks a particular streaming platform, it is because we have sat down, connected to that server, and confirmed it with our own eyes.
That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and we are not willing to lower it.
