How to Watch Celebrity Traitors UK Season 2 in Canada for Free
QUICK ANSWER: You can watch Celebrity Traitors UK season 2 in Canada free on BBC iPlayer by availing a streaming VPN’s 30-day money-back guarantee. Crave also airs the show but it is a paid Canadian streaming service and episode gets air after it aired on BBC iPlayer. I found NordVPN the best among all tested VPNs to watch Celebrity Traitors UK season 2 in Canada completely free without any buffering issues on a 150 Mbps connection.
Celebrity Traitors returned on October 1, 2026, with Claudia Winkleman welcoming 21 famous faces to Ardross Castle. There are 10 episodes, they air Thursday and Friday at 8pm UK time, and the final lands on October 30.
Here’s the catch: BBC iPlayer only works in the UK, so opening it from Toronto or Vancouver gets you a region error. Crave carries the show in Canada, but it’s a paid subscription, and the season 2 premiere is listed for October 2, a day after the UK start.
The good news is that the iPlayer block depends on your IP address. A VPN with a UK server changes that in a couple of taps, and NordVPN’s 30-day money-back guarantee means you can test it without paying for the VPN if you cancel inside the window.
Key Takeaways:
- Celebrity Traitors UK season 2 started October 1, 2026 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with 10 episodes on Thursdays and Fridays and the final on October 30.
- BBC iPlayer is free in the UK and streams the same night, but it’s blocked in Canada, so you need a VPN with a UK server.
- NordVPN is my top pick, and its 30-day money-back guarantee means you pay nothing for the VPN if you request a refund in time.
- Crave is the paid Canadian option, with the season 2 premiere listed for October 2, one day after the UK start.
- iPlayer requires a free BBC account with a UK postcode (you can use any UK postal code from Google)

Which VPNs work best for BBC iPlayer in Canada?
| Rank | VPN | Why I picked it | Get it |
| 1 | NordVPN | Top pick. Fast network, large server list, and it reliably beats streaming blocks. | NordVPN |
| 2 | Surfshark | Best value. Unlimited devices on one subscription, budget-friendly, and it still unblocks the major free streamers. | Surfshark |
| 3 | ExpressVPN | The consistent all-rounder, with broad device support and dependable speeds. | ExpressVPN |
Why isn’t a free VPN good enough for BBC iPlayer?
WARNING: Skip the free VPN.
- Blocked IPs. Free VPN servers are heavily flagged, so iPlayer blocks them on sight.
- Speed throttling. Free tiers throttle bandwidth, which turns HD into a slideshow.
- Privacy risks. Many free VPNs log and sell your data, and some carry malware.
The smarter “free” move is a paid VPN’s 30-day money-back guarantee. You get full speed and working UK servers now, and a full refund if you cancel inside the window.
What should you do if BBC iPlayer blocks your VPN?
- Disconnect and switch to a different UK server, such as Manchester.
- Open iPlayer in a private window, or clear your cookies, then reload.
- Connect the VPN first, then open the iPlayer app.
- Ask NordVPN’s live chat which UK server is working with iPlayer right now.
FAQs
Yes. Crave lists the season 2 premiere for October 2, 2026, one day after the UK start. Crave also carried season 1 during its UK run rather than months later. You need a Crave subscription, and plans start at CA$9.99 a month with ads.
BBC iPlayer is free to watch, and a VPN with a UK server lets you reach it from Canada. NordVPN’s 30-day money-back guarantee covers the VPN cost if you request a refund in time. iPlayer still requires a BBC account with a UK postcode and a UK TV Licence confirmation, so the route isn’t free of rules.
Connect to a UK server, starting with London. If iPlayer shows a region error, switch to another UK city and reload.
Episodes start at 8pm UK time. That’s 3pm Eastern and 12pm Pacific through October 23, and 4pm Eastern and 1pm Pacific for the final two episodes.
